Terms of Service

1. Service Description

MyStoryChild provides an online platform that uses artificial intelligence to generate personalised illustrated storybooks for children. You provide character details; we generate a unique book which you can read online and download as a PDF.

2. Account Registration

Accounts are created exclusively via Google OAuth. You must be at least 18 years old, or the parent/legal guardian of the child for whom you are creating content. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Subscriptions are billed monthly. Prices are displayed in Swedish kronor (SEK) and include 25% Swedish VAT where applicable.

Payment is processed by Stripe. You authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Credits purchased as one-time packs are non-refundable once consumed. Unused credits from a subscription month are carried over for one additional month, then expire.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' written notice.

4. Content & Acceptable Use

You may use generated storybooks for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not:

  • resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute generated content
  • use the service to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
  • reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI generation pipeline
  • share account credentials with others

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms without refund.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the personal details and photos you upload. You grant MyStoryChild a limited licence to use this input solely to generate your storybook.

AI-generated story text and illustrations are provided to you under a personal, non-exclusive licence for private use. MyStoryChild retains all other rights.

Story templates, prompt designs, and platform infrastructure are the intellectual property of MyStoryChild and may not be copied or reproduced.

6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided “as is”. AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, repetitions, or unexpected outputs. We do not guarantee specific creative outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyStoryChild's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden.

8. Changes to These Terms

We will notify you by email at least 30 days before making material changes. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
